2011 GMC Terrain Review

The new GMC Terrain 2011 makes world debut at the 2009 New York International Auto Show. GMC Terrain is a five-passenger crossover SUV that combines bold style and fuel efficiency, and features stunning.

"New Terrain GMC tells the story of innovation and technical excellence in a smaller package of fuel in today's buyer," said Susan Docherty, Buick-Pontiac-GMC manager. "The ability of attributes that make vehicles GMC GMC are deep in the ground, making it a viable alternative to traditional SUVs that current customers are looking for a distinctive style and more efficient."

 

New 2.4l four-cylinder engine with direct injection offering is expected to provide the best in its segment in highway fuel economy of 30 mpg. More fuel economy achieved in part by the "ECO" mode that is activated by the console-mounted button. When involved, reduces the torque converter locks speed 1125 RPM to save fuel models equipped with 2.4l engine.

Also available with a 3.0L DOHC direct-injection V-6 engine produces about 264 horsepower (197 kW). Both engines are mated to increase the efficiency of a six-speed automatic transmission, and offers a refined driving experience safer.

GMC Terrain has a balance, athletic and has a view of the road. Its design is characterized by eruptions in bold, muscular defense, representing the aesthetics of GMC. The area is modern and refined, with a strong and capable of front-end appearance that the precise characteristics, square edges.

Details of the interior and the flexibility

The engines are mounted on a rigid structure, with a full body one-piece stamped side of the body and specific applications of high-strength steel. It is the basis for a safe driving experience that is both smooth and responsive.

The first application of active noise cancellation GM (ANC) technology is used on models with 2.4 liter engine. ANC uses microphones to detect sounds booming inside the vehicle and sends the sound waves by the counter-system audio speakers, ensuring a smooth driving experience virtually all vehicle speeds.

 

GMC Terrain ride the 112.5-inch (2857 mm) and has a step-by-four-wheel independent suspension, with wide front and rear tracks, which will improve ride and handling. Their 17-inch, 18 inch and 19-inch aluminum chrome clad wheels are available.
